Getting to our office
Our office is at 435 Nepean Highway, Frankston. Travel times below are approximate and depend on traffic.
- By train: the Frankston line runs direct from Ormond, McKinnon, Bentleigh, Moorabbin, Highett and Cheltenham to Frankston station, a short walk from our office.
- By car: about 30 to 40 minutes from Brighton via the Nepean Highway. Clients from Hampton, Sandringham and Beaumaris usually drive.
- Parking: Wilson Parking at 453 Nepean Highway, street parking on the Nepean Highway, and the car parks at McDonald’s across the road and at Dan Murphy’s. Check the signs for time limits.
- Book first: appointments are by arrangement, so the notary is available and your documents have been checked before you arrive.
Company and commercial documents
Overseas banks, registries and counterparties often ask for company documents to be notarised, and sometimes for the notary to confirm the company’s existence and the signatory’s authority.
- Signing: witnessing directors and authorised officers signing contracts, deeds and share transfers.
- Certified company records: certificates of registration, ASIC extracts, constitutions and resolutions.
- Authority and standing: notarial certificates confirming the company’s registration and the signatory’s authority, after the necessary searches.
- What to bring: a current ASIC extract, the constitution or board resolution authorising the signatory, and each signatory’s identification.

Yes. We witness directors and authorised officers signing, and certify copies of company records. Bring a current ASIC extract and evidence of the signatory’s authority. If the overseas party wants a certificate of the company’s standing, send us the details early so the searches can be done first.
We can witness and notarise a power of attorney. For property in another country, the document usually has to meet that country’s law, so the safest course is for the lawyer or notary there to prepare it and send it to us for signing.
DFAT sets its own processing times, which lengthen in busy periods such as the end of the year. Allow extra time if the document has a deadline overseas.
