Who We Serve in the Mornington Peninsula

The Mornington Peninsula has a large population of retirees, many of whom hold foreign pensions or have property and inheritance matters in their countries of origin. We regularly assist Peninsula residents with life certificates for overseas pension authorities, powers of attorney for managing property abroad, and inheritance documents for foreign succession proceedings. The Peninsula also has a significant Polish-Australian community, and as one of only two Polish-speaking notaries in Victoria, Radek is uniquely positioned to assist Polish-speaking clients in their own language.

Our Notarial Services

Foreign Pension Documents
Life certificates and pension declarations for authorities in Poland, Italy, Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, and other countries. Many Peninsula retirees require these documents notarised annually.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Notary Public is a qualified lawyer appointed by the Supreme Court of Victoria who is authorised to witness signatures, certify documents, administer oaths, and prepare documents for use in Australia and overseas. Notarised documents are recognised internationally under the Hague Apostille Convention and by foreign governments, courts, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Bring the original documents you need notarised, along with valid photo identification (current passport or Australian driver’s licence). If documents need to be signed, do not sign them before the appointment – the Notary must witness the signing. If you are acting on behalf of a company, bring evidence of your authority (e.g. an ASIC extract or board resolution).

An Apostille is a certificate issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) that authenticates the Notary’s seal and signature. It is required for documents being sent to countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention, including most European and many Asian countries. We arrange Apostilles on your behalf.

Fees depend on the complexity and number of documents. We provide a quote before your appointment so there are no surprises. Contact us on 1800 776 529 to discuss your requirements and receive a fee estimate.

Yes. Radek Dajer is one of only two Polish-speaking notaries in Victoria. He can explain documents, take instructions, and conduct the entire notarial process in Polish. This is particularly valuable for Polish pension documents (ZUS/KRUS), property transactions in Poland, and inheritance matters.

Most appointments take between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the number and complexity of documents. If an Apostille or embassy legalisation is required, this is an additional step that typically takes several business days. We lodge documents with DFAT and the relevant embassy on your behalf.
